Jean-Luc Van Damme is an audiovisual producer. Over the last decades he had produced music videos, TV commercials, TV shows, documentaries, short and feature films. In 2014, he bought the lineup and catalogue from Banana Films, Banana Films Productions and Chochana to start a new company called Survive Films. In 2018, Survive Films becomes Happy Moon Productions.
We are focusing on local films in both French and Flemish and on international (co)productions in English like “Sexual Healing” by Julian Temple, “Goodbye Bafana”, directed by Academy Award and double Palme d’Or winning director Bille August, “Belle du Seigneur” directed by Glénio Bonder, “Let Me Survive” by Mexican director Eduardo Rossoff or “Red Snake” directed by Caroline Fourest. Many of these were awarded in Festivals around the world. Recently we also started developing TV Series for the Belgian Television.
Our mission is to focus on the creative relationship between a writer and a director, affording them the space to explore and develop the full potential of a project, maximizing the chemistry of their collaboration to produce a final product that exudes originality, uniqueness and commercial viability.
We produces quality entertainment with strong concepts through contemporary and relatable themes.
